FOR CREW WELFARE
BRIDGING THE DISTANCE
WITH FAMILY AND LOVED ONES AT HOME
SMSGlobal’s systems are designed to provide crews with optimal connectivity while ensuring ship owners full IT security, data, bandwidth and cost control.
Currently 3,350 vessels with 125,000 + seafarers are on a monthly basis exchanging more than 2,500,000 messages with over 1,500,000 loved ones on-shore, as well as accessing the Internet and chatting on social networks.
SMSGlobal’s solutions offer the widest range of crew added value services for the Maritime Satcom environments scaling from Fleet Broadband lower-bandwidth/data allowances, to higher-bandwidth/data capacities over V-Sat.
Our systems are software based, satcom airtime provider independent, and can be interfaced with the existing ship-to-shore mail system or setup stand-alone without interfacing with the ships business network.
CrewCommWifi ensures ship owners complete data, bandwidth and cost control of the crew Internet access on its Fleet Broadband or V-Sat Network without any administration for the ship manager.
For the crews it provides an Internet hotspot that can be accessed on all devices including a range of added-value features that no other Maritime Satcom systems offer.
Se@MeNow is SMSGlobal’s social network for seafarers where the crews can stay in touch with their loved ones from the vessels with live video, voice, messaging, photo sharing and social walls.
The crews can as well play online games, follow their favorite sports events and shop online with world-wide delivery.
CrewCommCenter offers a set of features such as unlimited E-mail and SMS messaging world-wide, low-data chat with Facebook, Yahoo & Google networks where crews can chat for 5 hours without spending more than 1mb.
The system includes daily provided world-news in 15 multilingual editions, announcements board from the captain and ship manager and optimized web browsing.
